Chiusi: A forgotten land of long-gone mystics
Chiusi. A little town in the heart of Tuscany I visited and somehow fell in love with the subtle, tender mystic wind blowing in its trees for the past 2000 years.
The Etruscan people used to live here. People whose approach to life was tender, peaceful and focused on joy and happiness. I learned that they were such pacifists that although they had an empire, when faced with the Romans, they were not up to the challenge of competing in ruthlessness, and therefore, were wiped out.
